Allegiance Staffing is Hiring a Production Planner Near Montgomery, AL
The production planner will assist the VP of Production in planning and executing the production of industrial equipment, stocked machine parts, and other manufacturing tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Generating production orders aligned with company Bills of Materials, Sales Orders, and stock replenishment metrics.
- Coordinating manufacturing requirements between the design department and production departments.
- Support VP production in scheduling manufacturing floor and machine shop.
- Monitor performance against schedule; effecting change required in the schedule; escalate scheduling concerns as appropriate; communicate schedules routinely with stakeholders.
- Plan resource needs (material and people) to meet production schedule.
- Ensuring ERP requirements are executed and followed.
- Facilitate MRP for internally produced parts.
- Compiling Status reports on production.
- Coordinating availability in schedule with the sales team.
- Ensuring parts stock replenishment stats are updated as production changes to ensure no backorder position.
- Aid inventory department as needed.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ERP/MRP planning systems (preferably cloud-based)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Office software applications (spreadsheet, word processor….)
- Understanding of supply chain, manufacturing, shop floor management
- Ability to communicate in a manufacturing/office environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 2-3 years experience in manufacturing/ERP environment is a plus.
